Strip Steak w/ Shallot & Mushroom Compote


  • 4 USDA Choice Bone In Aged Strip Steaks

  • Taste Borsari Seasoning

  • 2 Garlic cloves chopped

  • 3-4 Sprigs of fresh chopped rosemary, parsley and thyme

  • 4shakes Worcestershire sauce

  • 6-8 Shitakes stems removed and julienne

  • 6-8 Crimini mushrooms julienne

  • 2 Shallots julienne

  • 1TBS Olive Oil


Preheat Grill

In a sauté skillet add the olive oil and shallots and cook until nice and almost caramelized, add the mushrooms and continue cooking until shallots are caramelized and mushrooms are nice and tender.

Season steaks with Borsari seasoning, rub with garlic, add the Worcestershire sauce and sprinkle with fresh herbs.

Add steaks to grill and cook for about 6 minutes per side turning twice per side, or until cooked to your likeness.
