Hanger Steak Fiesta


  • 4 USDA Choice Hanger Steaks

  • Taste Salt and Pepper

  • 1 shot Tequila (optional)

Tortilla Bar

  • 1pkg Flour Tortillas

  • Your favorite toppings may include guacamole, sour cream, scallion, cheese etc


  • 2 Tomatoes, diced

  • 1 Red Onion, diced

  • 1 Red Pepper, diced

  • Taste Salt and Pepper, Chili Powder

  • ¼c Cilantro & Parsley chopped

  • 2cloves Garlic, chopped

  • 1 Lime

  • 1tbl Olive Oil

  • 1 Chili or Jalapeño chopped

  • 5 Scallions, sliced



Combine all salsa ingredients and refrigerate 2/3rds for 4-12 hours to combine flavors.

Use remaining 1/3 as a marinade for hanger steaks

Add tequila, salt and pepper and place in plastic bag or container

Marinate steaks for 4-6 hours.

Preheat oven or grill

Remove steaks from marinate and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side over medium heat or until cooked to medium rare, medium at the most.

Cut steak diagonally across the grain into thin slices.

Warm tortillas according to the packaging directions and serve with the tortilla bar.
